Why donate to SLSF?
Why should I contribute to the San Leandro Scholarship Foundation? Quite frankly, because it’s the best return on investment you’ll get for your contribution. There are many nonprofits in need of your help, but very few can say that 100% of your contribution gets passed through to their clients. That’s right, 100%. The San Leandro Scholarship Foundation is run by a Board of Trustees that is completely volunteer. We have no employees, and, no overhead expenses. The minor overhead cost of mailing and social media subscriptions is absorbed by one or more of the members of the Board of Trustees.
SLSF Facts
Founded in 1967, the San Leandro Scholarship Foundation (SLSF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that supports graduating San Leandro seniors from our local high schools. We raise funds to grant scholarships to students headed to four-year universities, junior colleges, and trade schools. We encourage local businesses, community groups, service clubs and community members to contribute financial donations and to create specific annual scholarships that are distributed through the Foundation In its first year, SLSF awarded a total of $1,690 in scholarships. We are currently awarding about $145,325 in scholarships each year, but need your help so we can award more. Please consider contributing to our organization. Together, we can build the future.
